Facebook Doesn’t Delete Cookies When Logging Out But Uses Them To Protect Users

Image
Today while surfing on Facebook I guess that Facebook is not using cookies to track you. At least not after you log out. Users, however, should still be wary about what Facebook knows about them and what it chooses to do with this information. According to writer and hacker, Nik Cubrilovic , Facebook’s tracking cookies are not deleted when you log out of Facebook, but instead are simply altered. These cookies can then be used to track your online presence wherever you go via social plugins, to sell your information to third parties and for ad targeting. They still limit you to 150 invites because they don’t want Google Plus to ...

Facebook starts converting all users' profiles to the new Timeline look. Maybe Some of you have enabled it already, but for the rest, the change is dramatic and will turn Facebook profiles as we know them upside down. Your Facebook profile will now (or soon) take the shape of a timeline going all the way back to the day you were born. Facebook wants you to use your Timeline profile to tell the story of your life, from today, to the day you joined Facebook, to your childhood, and up until your birth. Your new profile will boast a huge cover picture, smaller boxes for things like friends, photos, apps and more (you get to choose which are featured), and of course, the timeline. In the timeline you will be reunited with all your Facebook updates from the day you joined Facebook. This also includes a map of all the geotags you may have added to your posts. This might be cool for some people, but some may be embarrassed about old posts, and wish to hide or delete them. Facebook’s new p...
